Creating a Personal Practice of “WE” . . .

In the power of peace, we often find those before us who’ve mastered looking beyond their own tribal customs, seeing all others as sisters and brothers within God and Nature. So many wise and wonderful sages have landed in this place, that it seems that we can follow their footsteps, each one of us, and find our way to our own sense of connection, peace and loving kindness for all.
My religion is kindness, and my theology is the love I see in my loved ones’ eyes, the smile that rests between my heart and yours. This feeling is deep and abiding, right at the surface, and everywhere in between for me It doesn’t lie within a church, or a tradition of rituals, but rises up when I encounter one whose eyes shine with the light of life and love, who I recognize as a living entity, and connect with.
And my dogma for my religion of kindness rests within those I meet whose lives are struggles, who I’ve been called on to help move through this difficult time in their lives, and as a family therapist, Spiritual Coach, or friend, I have the honor and privilege of being part of their process of awakening.
We are one people, all of us. There are no lines of distinction that separates Christian from Muslim, Jew from Gentile, black from white, woman from man, gay from straight, child from adult, human from all other entities. We are One, and all of these distinctions have been created by us, they are not real, at all.
In my next post, I’ll share with you the beginning of a practice of "WE". I think you’ll like it.
In Peace,
Don, aka ‘The Gandhi Guy"
